Equans is looking for a Sub-contractor Manager to join our team in West Kilbride on a 12-month FTC basis. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The role holder will coordinate subcontractor activities on site, ensuring high standards of SHEQ compliance from all subcontractors operating on behalf of Equans at Hunterston B Power Station.
What will you deliver?
1. Manage Equans SMOC process and ensure subcontractors are fully approved with relevant documentation.
2. Conduct inaugural meetings with subcontractors before work begins.
3. Oversee subcontractor supervisors and ensure supervision meets expectations.
4. Meet and greet subcontractors on the day of work.
5. Update the subcontractor manager board.
6. Conduct pre-job briefs and review RAMS with subcontractors, ensuring understanding and sign-off.
7. Ensure high-risk work subcontractors are approved by local ISM with reviewed RAMS.
8. Supervise and perform regular spot checks on subcontractor work.
9. Coordinate with operations teams to support subcontractor activities.
10. Review subcontractor performance regularly and report concerns.
11. Oversee contractor management on a day-to-day basis.

Who are we looking for?
* NEBOSH General Certificate or working towards it within 6 months
* At least 2 years in compliance, health & safety, or subcontractor management
* Experience managing subcontractors and driving safety performance
* Knowledge of health & safety systems and technical disciplines
* CITB SMSTS/IOSH Managing Safely certification minimum
