Senior Quality Engineer - 6 Month Contract
Location: Leamington Spa (On-site)
Rate: £20-£25 per hour

The Role
An opportunity has opened for a Senior Quality Engineer to join a high-performing engineering environment on a 6-month contract. You'll support multiple value streams, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive measurable improvements in product and process quality.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is comfortable taking ownership of supplier quality and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and define supply chain quality requirements and associated documentation
Lead resolution of supplier quality issues using structured methodologies (e.g. 8D)
Deliver proactive and reactive supplier improvement activities, applying Lean Manufacturing principles
Own supplier-related issues end-to-end, including corrective action implementation and verification
Conduct supplier quality assurance activities including audits, surveillance visits, and assessments
Manage part quality across product, process, and supplier changes
Track and report performance against project targets and KPIs
Key Requirements
Proven experience in Supplier or Parts Quality within a manufacturing environment
Background in automotive, aerospace, or similar high-quality engineering sectors (others considered)
Knowledge of low-volume and/or series production environments
Experience across manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, heat treatment, or NDT
Strong problem-solving capability with a hands-on approach
Familiarity with quality systems, tools, and data-driven decision-making
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage suppliers and stakeholders at all levels
Ability to manage workload effectively and remain commercially aware
Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
Full driving licence and flexibility to travel for supplier visits
Working knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949
Desirable
Experience in low-volume assembly or precision machining environments
Understanding of gears or gear geometry
Knowledge of Six Sigma tools (GR&R, SPC, DoE)
Awareness of ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards
Lead Auditor qualification
