We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Fabric Technologist to join the Next Childrenswear team.

Supporting the fabric technology process from design concept to delivery, developing and elevating fabric quality is key within the Next Childrenswear team. Innovation is what we strive for here at Next and this role offers up some great opportunities for this. Working alongside the Fabric Technologist, product team and with suppliers; reviewing fabric developments, setting and reviewing standards is a key part of the role. You will be an important support to the buying and design team, to help guide any decisions in line with Next quality expectations, sustainability and legal requirements.
About You
A team player; you will have great people skills to communicate effectively within a multi functional team. Using your technical experience & exceptional eye for technical detail, you will be working on a wide range of woven and jersey kids products. Utilising your qualifications & experience within fabric technology, you’ll be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of fabric sourcing, manufacturing, construction and performance. You’ll show drive and initiative to generate and implement new ideas in your department.
