Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors
Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliations and general ledger entries
Preparing and submitting VAT returns in line with Making Tax Digital requirements
Working with cloud accounting platforms including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
Supporting the wider team with financial data where required
Communicating with clients to obtain records and resolve queries

Previous experience in a bookkeeping or similar finance role, ideally within practice
Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and Excel
Understanding of VAT processes and bookkeeping fundamentals
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A professional and approachable manner when dealing with clients and colleagues
