Our client is a respected professional services firm based in Exeter, offering a supportive and collaborative working culture. They are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in legal or professional services who enjoys working in a detail oriented environment with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and problem-solving.
The Role:
As a Finance Assistant, you'll play an important role in managing billing processes, resolving complex financial queries, and supporting smooth day-to-day operations across the finance function. You'll work within a small, friendly team, providing accurate and timely billing support while ensuring client satisfaction through attention to detail and proactive communication.
Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:
* Manage billing and e-billing processes, including producing credit notes and handling high-level queries.
* Assign payers, reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate client billing.
* Collaborate with colleagues to maintain efficient financial processes.
* Support the implementation and use of new automated finance systems.
Requirements of the Finance Assistant include:
* Previous experience in a billing or finance assistant role, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
* Confident in using e-billing systems and managing complex billing queries.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
* Comfortable learning and working with new software and automated systems.
* Have 2+ year's experience in a similar role.
