Role Background The Healthy Minds website is the go-to website for better mental health and wellbeing in the Bradford district and Craven area. It was developed in partnership with the NHS and Bradford Council and lists more than 300 services and apps from around 80 organisations, as well as information and advice about mental health. Under the guidance of the Communications and Engagement team at BDC Mind, this role will increase access to the website and the wider Healthy Minds movement of services, events and mental health information. Role Purpose You will help the people of Bradford District and Craven find and have access to the right mental health support that meets their needs. Role Outcomes Supporting the Communications and Engagement team to deliver against the Healthy Minds annual targets. Update and maintain the Healthy Minds website ensuring information is accurate, accessible and aligned with brand guidelines. Produce regular updates and reports on site operations and performance. Monitor website performance and escalate any technical issues to developers. Support the Communications and Engagement Manager to identify opportunities to improve the website via innovation, SEO and in creating new content. Onboard and support providers to maintain the accuracy of their listed services on the Healthy Minds website. Implement an effective quality assurance process for listed service providers to ensure the accuracy of information in the directory. Assist in planning and delivering communications activities for awareness events, and community initiatives targeting the general public and healthcare providers. Support the Communications and Engagement Manager with creation of social media posts, videos, press releases, newsletters, blogs and printed collateral that promote the Healthy Minds website and Healthy Minds branded services ensuring consistent application across channels. Act as an ambassador and represent Bradford District and Craven Mind, and Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership at external functions and events, giving talks and presentations as required. Consistently working in alignment with our aims, objectives, policies, core values and standards set out in our employee handbook. Fully participating in all relevant training to develop and maintain your performance in the role. QUALIFICATIONS Essential Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (communications, journalism, marketing etc) Desirable Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development. EXPERIENCE Essential Minimum 18 months experience in a communications or marketing role Developing effective communications plans across multiple channels Website content management, WordPress or similar Developing digital content for website, social media and newsletters Copywriting for diverse audiences and platforms Creating assets using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite software Photography and videography capture and editing skills Desirable Minimum 18 months’ experience in a communications or marketing role within healthcare or the voluntary sector Experience building relationships with a range of stakeholders, including community groups and system partners SKILLS AND ABILITIES Essential Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and channels Confidence and ability to represent the programme at meetings and events Strong collaboration skills, able to build trust and credibility across multiple teams and organisations Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet multiple deadlines KNOWLEDGE Desirable Ability to travel independently around Bradford District and Craven Understanding of mental health and its impact on individuals Knowledge of different marketing and communication tools An understanding of the voluntary and community sector and mental health organisations within Bradford District & Craven An understanding of the mental health challenges faced by different communities including groups with protected characteristics ATTITTUDE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Essential: Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently Ability to take the initiative and with solution-focused attitude Effective team player with strong relationship-building skills Commitment to ongoing professional development How to apply: Please click the 'Apply for this job' button and follow the steps to fill out the application form.
