* Vacancy Details:Auchinairn Medical Practice in Bishopbriggs, serving a patient community of around 7,000, is seeking a Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team. This part-time role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, approachable, and passionate about delivering excellent service to patients. We are looking to cover Monday, Thursday and Friday 12:00pm – 6:00pm.Key Responsibilities:
Reception Duties: Greet and assist patients, answer phones, and handle enquiries
Appointment Management: Schedule and manage patient appointments
Workflow Management: Process clinical documents and correspondence efficiently
Mail Handling: Sort, distribute, and manage incoming/outgoing mail
Prescription Processing: Manage repeat prescription requests and queries
Patient Signposting: Direct patients to appropriate services or departments
Pharmacy Liaison: Coordinate with pharmacies regarding prescriptions and patient queries
Administrative Support: Assist with general admin tasks as required
Signposting: Guide patients to the appropriate services, departments, or healthcare professionals to ensure they receive timely and relevant careWhat We’re Looking For:
Excellent customer service with a compassionate and friendly approach
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work well in a team environment
Flexibility to work occasional overtime to cover holidays or absences
Experience with EMIS and Docman systems is advantageous, but full training will be provided
