Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team, as part of a progressive and busy groundworks business. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, in order to keep our fleet of Plant, Vans, and Lorries on the road. The Mechanic will ensure that all repairs are completed to the highest standards, contributing to the safety and reliability of our fleet. The successful candidate will be provided with a Company Van and Tools, along with all the latest diagnostic technology and state of the art workshop.
Duties
* Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
* Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, and exhaust systems.
* Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed on vehicles.
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
* Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
* Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive technology.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
* Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools effectively.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
