Roles and Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that inspire and engage students
* Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment
* Prepare students for assessments and exams, ensuring progress and attainment
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners
* Foster a love of reading, writing, and communication within the classroom
* Contribute to departmental planning, enrichment activities, and whole‑school initiatives
* Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
The successful English Teacher will have:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent qualification in English
* Experience teaching English across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* A genuine passion for English and for helping students reach their potential
* A proactive, flexible, and professional approach
