Job Overview:
We are seeking a HEAD OF CARE to join our team and assist in overseeing the smooth running of the home. The HEAD of CARE will work closely with the Deputy Manager and Manager to ensure the highest quality of care for our residents. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational and communication skills.
Duties:
- Liaising with GP and other health professionals ensuring continuity of care
-Supervise and support staff members in providing excellent care to residents
- Assist in developing and implementing care plans for each resident
- Monitor the overall well-being of residents, including their physical, emotional, and social needs
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards related to senior care
- Oversee medication administration and ensure proper documentation
- Collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care
- Assist in training and mentoring new staff members
- Handle any resident or staff concerns or complaints in a professional manner
- Participate in regular meetings with the Manager to discuss facility operations and improvements
Qualifications:
-NVQ/Diploma Level 3 or above in health and social care
- Previous experience in a senior care setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team
- Knowledge of dementia care best practices and experience working with individuals with dementia
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to develop and implement care plans based on individual resident needs
- Proficiency in medication administration and documentation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
