Build and modify panels from drawings and specifications provided.
Working with build plans and ensuring production of all panels is built, testing and witnessed within project timelines.
Key Accountabilities:
* Prepare wires by cutting, stripping, and crimping them accurately to meet the specifications required for fitting into control panels.
* Follow and interpret electrical wiring schematics and general arrangement drawings to ensure all wiring is installed correctly and safely.
* Label wires clearly and organise them neatly within panels to maintain easy identification and ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Assemble and install wiring into control panels with a high level of precision and attention to detail, ensuring a professional finish.
* Conduct peer-to-peer checks by reviewing fellow panel wirers’ work to verify accuracy and completeness prior to routine electrical testing.
* Proactively identify any potential wiring faults or issues, communicating concerns clearly to supervisors and suggesting practical solutions or corrective actions.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Successfully completed C&G 2382-18 (BS7671 18th Edition) training
* Practical competence to satisfy the requirements of JIB approved or technical grade electrician
* Ability to set out and instruct work based upon drawings, specifications and other documents.
* Familiarity with various electrical legislation such as Electricity at Work Regulations, PUWER etc.
* Familiarity with relevant British Standards Code of Practice.
