Head of Security Systems and Hardware (CCTV, Intruder & Access)
The Keyholding Company, in partnership with our clients, is successfully winning multi-discipline security tenders that require sophisticated administration and operational support for integrated electronic security systems, such as CCTV, Access Control and Intruder. This ensures we deliver maximum value and efficiency across our services.
Our primary business model is outsourcing the delivery of these services to carefully selected partners, who are often clients of other services that our group provides. This enables us to provide reciprocal business to some of the biggest clients of our keyholding and alarm response services.
We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially-driven Head of Security Systems and Hardware to spearhead the growth and development of this integrated proposition. This pivotal role will be responsible for day‑to‑day operations, client engagement, developing commercial proposals, and continuously enhancing the department’s systems and processes.

* Salary of £70,000 per annum on a full‑time, permanent basis
* Based at our Enfield Lock office 4 days per week, with flexibility to work from home 1 day per week as agreed (Occasional travel to our Farringdon HQ and client/installer locations as/when required)

What You’ll Do
Commercial strategy and oversight
* Develop comprehensive commercial models and pricing strategies for system solutions, balancing competitive pricing with healthy margins.
* Construct compelling tender proposals, highlighting our unique selling points and competitive advantages, especially for large IFM clients.
* Conduct thorough commercial oversight for any project‑based work, identifying and mitigating contractual risks, potential delivery delays, kit issues, and hidden costs associated with electronic security installations.
Sales and client liaison
* Lead the sales efforts for the Connect proposition, engaging key target audiences including existing TKC Direct clients (as part of a holistic security provision or upsell), direct prospects, IFM clients, and single‑site prospects.
* Collaborate with Account Managers to drive dedicated upsell meetings for existing clients.
* Articulate our value propositions, addressing key client pain points and matching them to our USPs.
* Negotiate service level agreements, managing client expectations and ensuring realistic and compliant operational performance to industry standards.
* Oversee contractual discussions, ensuring a clear understanding of overarching framework contracts and internal rules of engagement for multi‑service line clients.
Operational and compliance oversight
* Managing a small (soon to be expanded) administration team.
* Specify, critique and quality control supplier quotations for system components, ensuring timelines and cost targets are met.
* Oversight of maintenance schedules (PPMs), ensuring all integrated systems are compliant with regulatory standards and our internal management systems are kept up to date.
* Oversight of billing and purchasing activities, ensuring contracts are billed accurately and on time.
* Oversight of ticketing systems to ensure client queries are handled efficiently.
Continuous improvement
* Drive continuous improvement of our operational systems and processes, ensuring efficiency, scalability and adherence to KPIs.
* Oversee the integration and utilisation of technology for unified asset management, streamlined fault reporting, monitoring and analytics, ensuring data‑driven decision making.
* Evaluate and implement scalable solutions that enhance the efficiency of our operations.
What We’re Looking For
* 5+ years of experience in a senior/head role within the electronic security systems or related field.
* Familiarity with IDS, VSS and Access Control Systems is mandatory.
* Familiarity with Uptick and Zendesk is desirable.
* Experience with project coordination and working in fast‑paced environments.
* Process and detail oriented with an analytical approach to challenges.
* Not easily overwhelmed – ability to find the problem in the noise and resolve it.
* Tech enthusiast with a desire to do things better and more efficiently.
* Adaptable, with rapidly changing responsibilities in a newly created department, delivering a new product.
