Panoramic Associates is currently working with a local authority in North West England to recruit a Housing Standards Manager, ensuring compliance with legislation and improving housing conditions.
Title: Housing Standards Manager
Location: Merseyside UK
Type: Contract for 6 months initially
Salary: Up to £55/day
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage Housing Standards services, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with statutory duties.
* Oversee programme management, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Represent the organization on regional housing standards issues and investment opportunities.
* Lead strategic projects to address housing challenges and optimize housing stock usage.
* Engage with partners to secure resources and deliver investment programs.
* Provide expert advice and support on housing standards to stakeholders.
* Develop and implement information systems for performance monitoring.
* Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring staff are supported and developed.
Requirements:
* Relevant housing, environmental health, or building qualification.
* Thorough understanding of housing legislation and regeneration issues.
* Extensive experience in private sector housing regeneration and management.
* Strong leadership and project management skills.
* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
* Experience in managing complex enforcement actions and budgets.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Degree or equivalent in Environmental Health, Housing Regeneration, or related discipline.
* Management qualification or training.
