Job Description What will you be doing? We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team in the North, based in Newcastle or Manchester. You will be responsible for managing sales and business development activities to support business growth, new opportunities, and strategic partnerships to expand our market presence. As a Business Development Manager, your responsibilities will include, among others Support the origination of new business opportunities with prospective clients in the region Identify and research target clients in the region to support pipeline development and conversion Co-ordinate with strategic alliance partners and joint initiatives across the region Manage new leads that come in via marketing/events/digital channels Work with relevant teams and partners in the region to develop winning proposals that speak to the client’s needs and objectives Champion the use of Seismic & the central bid management team in proposals Manage sales information including conversion rates, key targets, pipeline management, KPIs and trend information Work with Partners to deliver the regional Clients & Markets and BD strategy Work with the central business development team to define, plan, deliver and evaluate plans across key sectors in the region Work with the central marketing team to develop the regional marketing plan aligned to central marketing themes and regional objectives Optimise within your region, central campaigns, thought leadership, events and other market-facing activities, working collaboratively with the firm's specialist teams, to raise our profile in key markets Work with the Regional Marketing Manager to co-ordinate and facilitate creative and communications requirements through the central marketing services team Own the delivery of regional events from pre-event planning through to on the day delivery and post-event follow-up, working with the central marketing team Work across all business lines and with the central marketing team to draw on central campaigns and adopt sales best-practice Build relationships with the wider marketing and business development teams to gain a deep understanding of our services, capabilities and strategies and how they can impact regional activity
