As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Support students with SLD and ASD in 1:1 and small group settings Assist with daily classroom routines and ensure a safe, inclusive learning space Provide personal care where required, including toileting and hygiene support Build strong relationships with pupils to help them feel secure, understood, and ready to learn Bring a calm, active, and team-oriented attitude to every day The ideal candidate will: Have experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly SLD or ASD Come from a sports background—those with high energy, patience, and teamwork skills often excel in this setting Be confident in providing personal care when needed Be empathetic, proactive, and reliable Hold a child-only enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks; including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
