Role Overview We are looking for a Midweight Interior Designer to join our design team and contribute to the development and delivery of workplace and higher education interiors. This position is suited to a designer with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience who is confident in supporting senior designers while continuing to build their own skills and responsibilities. The role involves participation across all stages of the design process, with opportunities for progression based on performance and initiative. Key Responsibilities Support senior designers in the delivery of office and education interior fit-out projects. Assist in the development of design concepts, space plans, layouts, and mood boards. Prepare high-quality presentation materials including 3D visuals and client decks. Assist with the production of technical drawing packs, schedules, and specifications for construction. Participate in site surveys and translate findings into accurate design documentation. Collaborate with internal teams including project management, technical design, and commercial teams. Assist with FF&E selection, material sourcing, and coordination with suppliers. Ensure accuracy and consistency of design work across multiple ongoing projects. Candidate Requirements Minimum 3 years of professional experience in commercial interior design, preferably in a design and build environment. Experience working on office and/or higher education projects is highly desirable. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of Revit and/or Enscape is advantageous. Strong understanding of space planning, detailing, and materials. Familiarity with UK building regulations and standards relevant to commercial interiors. Strong communication and coordination skills. Organised, proactive, and able to manage tasks across multiple projects.
