Looking to kick start your with a new job that will bring satisfaction that you'd struggle to find anywhere else? You're in luck as our amazing #TeamInchbrae in Aberdeen are on the lookout for a new colleagues to join them on a permanent (16-39 hours per week) basis.

Our team and the individuals you'll support

You'll become part of a friendly team who supports two ladies and one gentleman, all with learning and physical disabilities to live in their own home. You'll feel right at home there! There's a lovely homely feel and they also have a separate sensory room within the home too.

Along with supporting the individuals with all aspects of daily living, all are fun loving and enjoy a busy social life, so you'll also support them with their hobbies and interests too which include swimming, arts & crafts, baking, music, movies and shopping trips and days out.

About You

At Cornerstone, we don't recruit on experience and qualifications; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team!

We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need to build your career within the Health & Social Care sector. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and your SSSC registration fees too!

What we need you to bring: -

4. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
5. A creative drive to improve the lives of the individuals you support
6. Good administration skills
7. Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
8. Confidence in the use of computers

The individuals we support have barriers to their communication, so it's essential that you also bring an excellent grasp of spoken and written English.

Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing the best support, tailored to the needs of each individual the shifts will fall into patterns of early mornings (from hours), days and evenings. Weekends, waking nights, sleepovers and public holidays will also form part of your work schedule on a rotational basis.

When working a sleepover, the sleep part of your shift isn’t included in your contracted hours. You receive £.80 per sleepover worked.

Please note that we are unable to work these contracted posts around a university or college timetable and/or placements.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy. If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.

Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
