Overview
We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our experienced team in sunny Eastbourne. The role offers a varied caseload across three practices, a mix of consulting and surgical time, and opportunities to mentor and teach others. This is an excellent opportunity for a vet with a surgical bias and/or another area of interest. Our rota patterns are flexible and designed to support work–life balance.
Eastbourne Vets is located on the South Coast, near beaches and with easy access to Brighton, London, and Gatwick by direct rail links. The practice network includes one main hub and two smaller surgeries, fully equipped with theatre, kennels, digital X-ray and dental X-ray, ultrasound with cardio and abdominal probes, a fully equipped laboratory, and diagnostic imaging support.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality veterinary care across small animal cases with a focus on surgery and opportunities to mentor others.
* Deliver a collaborative client and patient experience within a team of clinicians across multiple sites.
* Participate in a balanced mix of consultations and surgical procedures.
* Engage in a flexible rota (typical pattern: 4-day weeks with 1:4 Saturdays; no Sundays, nights, or bank holidays).
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the team through CPD, qualifications, and equipment investment support.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in veterinary surgery or strong interest in surgical work; mentoring and teaching abilities are desirable.
* Willingness to collaborate within a multi-site team and deliver excellent patient and client care.
