 
        
        Overview
You will be assisting the sonographers and radiologists within the scan room, dealing directly with patients. You will be required to assist and support both the patient and your clinical colleagues.
Responsibilities
 * Direct patient duties including communication, physical assistance (particularly the elderly and infirm, babies and children, vulnerable adults), providing reassurance and comfort to enable the practitioner to obtain the best possible examination.
 * Assist the sonographer/radiologist by ensuring the list runs smoothly, appointing inpatients, chaperoning and assisting during interventional procedures, resolving problems and attending to issues that may occur during the session.
 * Use multiple software systems to book patients, review attendances, undertake training, order stock (if required), call patients, and add information to records.
 * Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient care and service delivery.
About you / Qualifications
 * Excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, a good attendance record, empathetic manner and superb organisational skills. Good computer skills and experience are essential.
 * The post requires self-motivation and the ability to cope with sensitive and emotionally charged situations. Patient confidentiality is of the utmost importance.
