PURCHASING ADMINISTRATOR

SALARY £27k
Our client, a large engineering business based near Shipley, have an immediate requirement to recruit a well versed purchasing administrator to join their growing team.
As the purchasing administrator you will support the supply and demand team and help the team improve the performance of the department.
You will have many duties as the purchasing administrator which will be, but not limited to ........
* Routinely running various ERP system generated reports.
* Sending out requests for quotations as per the daily MRP lists.
* Follow up on delivery information (chasing overdue delivery dates, asking for order acknowledgement dates)
* Advancing urgent deliveries of the suppliers as necessary
* Maintaining good supplier relationships and communicating primarily via telephone and E-mail but on occasion in face-to-face meetings / visits.
* Maintaining the supplier database ensuring all required information is current.
* Maintaining the item parts master – price, lead-time etc
* Refreshing and uploading supplier price files.
* Dealing with any queries relating to the PO (price, delivery, drawing queries, delivery notes, goods received etc.)
* To uphold ethical business practices, maintaining the highest standard of integrity in all business relationships.
* To maintain ‘best practice’ processes and procedures within the Sourcing function.
You will of course have the usual, interpersonal skills, communication, team player at all levels.
