Job Description
This role is categorized as onsite, with the expectation to report to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.
The Role
We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your main responsibility will be to develop mechatronic systems that improve our aerodynamics development processes for motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to design, develop, and optimize solutions to technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do
1. Design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for automotive and aerodynamic testing.
2. Create detailed system architectures and specifications.
3. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop innovative solutions.
4. Liaise with suppliers, evaluate components, and select appropriate technologies.
5. Conduct system testing, analysis, and debugging to ensure performance and reliability.
6. Manage the delivery of prototypes and production solutions, including mechanical design, PCB layout, and software integration.
7. Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering with a proven track record.
* Strong understanding of multidisciplinary system design.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
* Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming (C, C++, Python).
* Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, control systems, and power electronics.
* Ability to work in a dynamic environment with strong organizational, collaboration, and communication skills.

Preferred:
* Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
* Experience with automotive, motorsports, or aerodynamics testing.
* Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink.
* Expertise in CAD and mechanical design.
* Knowledge of control systems and theory.
