Clear scope to shape safer, greener, more efficient infrastructure. What You’ll Do Lead and supervise all highway electrical and street lighting maintenance. Act as an electrical supervisor, reviewing pass/fail test results and approving/signing off work. Manage testing cycles, inspections, structural surveys, and statutory compliance. Hold and manage operational budgets with full accountability. Maintain asset and certification records, including supporting a transition from Sinology to I‑AURA (or similar top‑tier systems). Support change and improvement initiatives within the department — ideas welcomed. Provide expert advice across teams and help shape energy‑efficient lighting schemes. Foster technical standards, ensure safety compliance, and guide contractors. What You’ll Bring Strong electrical background — this is essential. Experience in street lighting and/or electrical asset management. Confident supervisory and management capability. Excellent understanding of statutory obligations and compliance. Comfortable working with asset management systems (experience with “big 4” systems is ideal). Open to candidates from both private and public sector backgrounds. Working Pattern & Location 37 hours per week, Monday–Friday (approx. 9am–5pm depending on department). Hybrid: around 4 days a week on site, depending on team needs and office cover.
