Job Description:
The Thermal Insulation Engineer is responsible for installing thermal and acoustic insulation systems on equipment, pipework, and surfaces to enhance energy efficiency and safety. The role involves ensuring installations meet safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure insulation systems are properly fitted, secure, and compliant with regulations, quality, and safety standards.
* Conduct inspections to verify quality standards upon completion.
* Coordinate with project managers and engineering teams regarding insulation requirements.
* Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations on-site.
Qualifications:
* Knowledge of thermal insulation materials, techniques, and standards.
* Experience with coldwork PIR insulation fitting on pipework, bends, flanges, valves, and equipment; neat finish on flat surfaces. Calcium silicate insulation experience is a plus.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Relevant certifications, including TICA cards (Gold/Blue).
* Physical ability to work in confined spaces and access different work areas using ladders and stairs.
