Electromechanical Fitter / Installer
Job Summary:
Are you an experienced Electromechanical Fitter / Installer looking for a permanent role with a growing automation and mechatronics company? Do you enjoy bringing automation projects to life, working across a variety of sectors, and being hands-on with both mechanical assembly and electrical wiring? My client specialises in the design, build, and installation of bespoke control systems, factory automation systems, conveyors, robotics, and vision inspection equipment.
Experience Required
* Apprentice-trained and/or qualified Mechanical and/or Electrical Fitter/Assembler.
* Minimum 3 years' proven experience building and installing industrial machinery/conveyors.
* Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools.
* Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, instructions, and method statements.
* Experience working with electric and pneumatic systems, valves, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
* Previous experience in hygienic environments and a strong understanding of health & safety.
* Electrical experience advantageous (comfortable running wires when required).
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, reliable, and customer-focused.
* Full UK Driving Licence (3 penalty points or less).
* Must hold a British/EU passport (required for travel to the USA and Canada).
Key Requirements:
* Willingness and flexibility to travel (30–40% of the role), including trips up to 2 weeks at a time, approx. 5–6 times per year, plus ad-hoc UK day trips/overnights.
* Confident traveller with no restrictions preventing overseas travel.
* Presentable, articulate, and a great ambassador for the company.
* Fluent in English (a second language is a plus).
* A proactive 'can do' attitude – no divas, just team players.
* Adherence to health & safety at all times, never cutting corners.

* Overtime available at 1.5x hourly rate during busy periods and travel.

* Mon–Thu 08:00–17:00 (30-min unpaid lunch)
* Fri 08:00–14:00

Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon–Thu 08:00–17:00, Fri 08:00–14:00
Travel: 30–40% (UK & North America)
Salary: £15.00–£17.50 per hour + overtime at 1.5x basic rate
