You’ll lead a team of credit analysts driving portfolio strategy, credit policy, and affordability assessments, while delivering key performance analytics and MI. This role shapes underwriting strategies, optimises decisioning frameworks, and ensures the portfolio remains strong, sustainable, and aligned with growth ambitions.

What will your day look like?
1. Lead credit strategy development and execution, ensuring alignment with business growth and risk appetite.
2. Oversee portfolio performance and decisioning frameworks, driving automation, efficiency, and improved risk outcomes.
3. Translate analytical insights into actionable recommendations to optimise approvals, bad rates, and portfolio quality.
4. Monitor key credit metrics and conduct deep-dive analyses to identify emerging risks, trends, and macroeconomic impacts.
5. Collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align credit strategies with commercial and risk objectives.
6. Mentor and develop credit analysts, fostering technical expertise and analytical excellence across the team.
What do we expect from you?
7. Experienced credit risk leader in financial services, ideally motor finance, consumer lending, or retail credit.
8. Strong background in customer strategy, credit policy, and affordability frameworks.
9. Proven expertise in portfolio analytics, including delinquency, loss forecasting, and behavioural metrics (EAD, PD, LGD).
10. Hands-on experience using credit bureau data to inform acquisition and portfolio decisions.
11. Skilled in scorecard development, monitoring, optimisation, and automated decisioning; proficient in SQL, SAS, Python, or similar tools.
12. Excellent communicator and leader, able to influence senior stakeholders and mentor analysts effectively.
