I’m working with a fast-growing tech company that’s transforming how businesses manage safety and compliance across thousands of sites. Their platform is built on a robust .NET ecosystem and is scaling rapidly—now they need a Data Services Lead to take full ownership of the data layer and help drive that growth.
This is a hands-on, backend-focused role where you’ll take full ownership of the data layer as a Data Services Lead—from architecture and performance to compliance and BI. If you’re someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving real-world problems, and wants to shape both technology and process, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Data Services Lead:
1. Designing and optimising schemas, stored procedures, and SQL queries
2. Managing distributed databases across multiple regions
3. Setting up and configuring Azure SQL and Azure Storage
4. Monitoring live systems and resolving performance issues (deadlocks, spikes,
5. Leading compliance workflows and documentation in a regulated environment
6. Supporting BI delivery (Power BI experience helpful, but this isn’t a BI role)
What They are Looking For:
7. Strong experience in MSSQL, data architecture, and engineering
8. Deep understanding of query optimisation and execution plans
9. Experience with Azure cloud services and .NET/Entity Framework
10. Comfortable working in regulated environments (., GDPR)
11. Familiarity with ETL processes, semantic models, and Power BI/DAX
12. Someone who’s backend-focused—not just reporting, but building the engine
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that’s scaling quickly and investing heavily in its data infrastructure. You’ll be working with a team that values collaboration, autonomy, and building things that actually make a difference.
