We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly Year 3 team. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing, helping every child reach their full potential.
Job Title: Part-time Year 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Burnley Contract: Part-time Start Date: Monday 1 September 2026Salary: £14.25 - £15 per hour
Key Responsibilities
* Support teaching and learning within the Year 3 classroom
* Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
* Assist pupils with literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities
* Support children’s social, emotional and behavioural development
* Help prepare learning resources and classroom displays
* Promote positive behaviour in line with the school’s policies
* Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children of primary school age (ideally Key Stage 2)
* A patient, flexible and positive approach to supporting learning
* Good literacy and numeracy skills
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A genuine interest in children’s development and education
