In this newly created role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of critical electrical systems across our unique and varied commercial estates. Reporting to the Senior Electrical Maintenance Manager, you will support the delivery of high-quality maintenance operations, manage external suppliers, and contribute to the execution of engineering projects. You will also be responsible for ensuring full compliance with all relevant health, safety, regulatory, and statutory standards, while driving continuous improvement across maintenance practices. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Monitoring all 3rd party suppliers, within electrical engineering, and evaluating their adherence to policies related to performance, compliance and safety, working with them to bring best in class solutions to DVLA in a timely, cost-efficient manner Providing effective management relating to less complex estate daily electrical matters affecting the efficient running of the Agencys sites Being responsible for reporting of regular and timely information to the Senior Electrical Maintenance Manager Benefits Being part of our brilliant Civil Service means you will have access to a wide range of fantastic benefits. You will demonstrate excellent technical knowledge of electrical systems and a thorough understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements. A team player with strong communication skills, you will be able to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, ensuring high standards of service delivery. The role requires someone who is resilient, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to manage multiple priorities, support electrical engineering projects with technical input, and drive continuous improvement across maintenance operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is required.
