2nd Line Support Engineer / Second Line Support Engineer Location: Witney (with travel to Henley Site also) Job Type: Full-time - Permanent Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum Exciting opportunity for a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join an established wealth management and financial services company. Reporting to the Head of IT as part of a small specialist IT Team, this role is crucial in providing exceptional second-line support to end users, maintaining a strong customer focus, and contributing to the development and implementation of our IT strategy to support business growth. Day to Day of the role: Provide 2nd line support to end users, troubleshooting incidents to root cause. Manage service requests, starters and leavers, and hardware decommissioning processes. Offer technical support and mentorship to other team members. Handle incoming calls, emails, and deskside support as part of the IT support team. Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, printers, and scanners. Liaise with senior IT team members to escalate issues or recurring problems. Identify and implement improvements in IT service delivery. Participate in projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Maintain high standards of cyber security awareness. Manage relationships with third-party suppliers to ensure excellent service delivery. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a similar 2nd line IT support role. Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Desktops and Laptops. Experience with Microsoft (Office) 365, including Email, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint. Knowledge of Multi-Factor Authentication, network patching, Wi-Fi, and Active Directory. Understanding of Windows Server Environments is beneficial. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail. Exceptional communication and organisational skills. A team player with a flexible approach to the working environment. Willingness to undertake further study and self-motivated learning.
