Job Description:
We currently have an opportunity for an adaptable and energetic individual to join our Ancillary Staff Team in our residential care home for older people as a Housekeeper for our home in Stowmarket, Suffolk. You will be working across the housekeeping, laundry and kitchen, contributing to the excellent care of our residents. View our home
Finborough Court is a modern and spacious home in the quiet, rural village of Great Finborough. Our staff provide residential care, dementia care and respite care for 32 residents.

Responsibilities:
* Clean client rooms and common areas;
* And to provide a complete laundry service.
* And to assist the cook in performing kitchen washing-up and cleaning routines.
* And/or prepare light meals, and set, serve, and clear dining room.
* Maintain records as required by your manager;
* Attend meetings and training activities including fire and evacuation procedures etc. as required;
* In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, you are required to perform other duties assigned by your manager from time to time that are within your capabilities.
We offer a full induction to the work and also provide other training as required by the post.
About you:
* You need to be someone who enjoys working with older people and can have an empathy with them;
* You will have at least 1 years of housekeeping/laundry or commercial kitchen experience;
* You need to be able to operate cleaning/ laundry equipment in a safe and reliable manner
* You need to be able to work independently as well as in a team in order to provide an excellent service to our residents; and
* You must be a well-organised, practical and adaptable person.

Hours:
Week 1 : Tue/Fri/Sat 16 Hours
Week 2 : Sun/Mon/Thu/Fri 22 hours
Week 3 : Thurs/Fri/Sat 20 hours
Week 4 : Sun/ Mon/Thu/Fri 19 hours
Shifts you will cover include 7am-11am and 9am-1pm and 3-8pm, on weekdays and alternate weekends
