Connect2Luton are excited to recruit a Senior Systems Accountant on behalf of Luton Borough Council.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert support and troubleshooting for financial systems
* Work closely with IT to resolve system-related issues
* Build and maintain reports using tools such as Business Objects, Crystal Reports, or similar
* Support ongoing system improvements and operational continuity
* Assist with handover to the incoming permanent postholder
About You
* Proven experience as a Systems Accountant, ideally in the public sector
* Strong background working with financial systems (experience with Civica Financials is highly desirable, but not essential)
* Demonstrable experience in report building and data analysis
* Advanced VBA skills
* Working knowledge of SQL and financial system infrastructure, with the ability to engage confidently with IT teams
* A proactive self-starter with strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
