Job Description
We have an opportunity for a highly motivated individual, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service to join the Wakefield Museums and Castle team.
As a Visitor Experience Assistant, you will provide a high-quality and engaging visitor experience, working creatively to tell our stories and encourage visitors to return.
This is a temporary, 12-month contract working at Castleford Museum, with 15.25 hours per week.
The contract would start in June 2025, with the following shift pattern:
* Monday 9:15am - 1pm
* Tuesday 9am - 1pm
* Thursday 9:15am - 1pm
* Friday 9:15am - 1pm
This varied role includes greeting visitors, providing general visitor information, answering queries, assisting with workshops and events, and general cleaning and site maintenance.
A significant part of this role involves developing ideas for and delivering informal drop-in activities for children and families, based on the exhibitions and collections at Museums and Castles. This includes our Under 5 toddler session on Tuesday mornings.
