Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging chemistry lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 / A-Level for a suitably qualified candidate). Deliver inspiring practical experiments that reinforce theoretical concepts while maintaining impeccable health and safety standards in the laboratory. Assess, track, and report on the academic progress and attainment of pupils in line with GCSE exam board specifications and school policies. Implement effective differentiation and adaptive teaching strategies to challenge high-attaining pupils and support students with diverse learning needs or SEND requirements. Contribute actively to departmental meetings, parent consultation evenings, and the wider extracurricular STEM initiatives of the school. Requirements Qualifications: Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS, alongside a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline. Experience: A proven track record of teaching science/chemistry within a UK secondary school setting (including successful ITT/PGCE placements).
