The King's School Sports Centre is seeking experienced Level 2 Swimming Instructors to join their friendly, highly recommended, and professional team.
Position: 12 Months Fixed-Term
Schedule: Tuesday 16:30-19:00
Salary: £22.18 per hour, rising to £22.88 from September 1st, 2025
Weeks: 35 weeks per year
Located in the stunning setting of Canterbury Cathedral and St Augustine's Abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, The King's School is one of the oldest and most prestigious schools in the country, renowned for academic excellence.
The Sports Centre offers a comprehensive swimming programme, including lessons for Discovery Duckling & Duckling, Learn to Swim Stages 1-7, Swim Academy (Stage 8 and above), adult lessons (beginners, improvers, training), crash courses, and private lessons.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aquatics and a passion for teaching, including experience coaching adults.
Prerequisites include:
* Level 2 Teaching Swimming Qualification
* Level 2 Teaching Swimming to Babies and Toddlers
* Level 1 Coaching Qualification
* Current Lifesaving or Teachers Rescue Qualification
Additional hours are available during term breaks for crash courses and private lessons.
