Job overview

Would you like to work alongside other enthusiastic and supportive psychological therapists in adult mental health? We have an opportunity to offer for a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist working into our Derby Adult CMHT and South Derbyshire Adult CMHT. The role is Band 7 Fixed Term from January 6 up to end of September 6 full time (but a part time role can be considered). You will work alongside other Psychological Therapists - Clinical Psychologists and CBT Psychotherapists co-creating meaningful change for our service users.

The successful applicant will have a core mental health profession, psychiatric nursing, occupational therapy, social worker). They will be registered by their professional body and have BABCP accreditation.

Main duties of the job

You will provide a clinical service through individual and group clinical work. Alongside direct clinical work you will also provide advice/consultation to colleagues in addition to supervision and training to multi-disciplinary practitioners/the wider organisation and contributing to service development.

We support and develop our staff to work with complexity, for example, by access to training resources to support your work with complex trauma and dissociation. We offer specialist clinical supervision 1:1 or in facilitated groups CFT, complex dissociation. You will join us at an exciting time for Psychological Services where we are making great progress in trauma-informed care throughout the Trust.

You will be based in the Derby Adult CMHTs & South Derbyshire Adult CMHT joining a dynamic group of over in our Directorate of Psychology & Psychological Therapies. We are committed to our compassionate framework within which your development and well-being will be nurtured.

We have excellent opportunities to further develop specialist skills in psychological therapy, We have clinicians with training and expertise in a range of therapeutic models including ACT, CFT, Systemic therapy, ISTDP, CAT and EMDR. There are multiple opportunities for peer support, a range of specialist supervision groups focusing on therapeutic models, dissociation, EMDR, neuropsychology) and regular CPD events. There are strong links with the Specialist CBT Department, so you will link with other CBT practitioners in the Trust, training sessions, CBT Professionals meetings.

Essential criteria

4. •Core health or social care professional qualification at degree level Registered with HCPC / NMC statutory reg. body etc, or Dip HE Nursing / Social Work / Occupational Therapy, or Clinical Doctorate in Counselling / Clinical Psychology)
5. •BABCP Level II Accredited Post-graduate qualification (Diploma / MSc) in Cognitive Behaviour Psychotherapy or its equivalence Clinical Doctorate) with adult population.
