Salary: £36,803 based on a 42 hour week

Shift patterns: Monday-Friday. Day time hours (Flexibility required)

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:
o Carry out, but not limited to, the training of drivers both FTE, approx 40 covering Class 1,2 and vans, & Agency including driving assessments, development indicators, licence checks and highway code test
o Conduct induction, performing 2 day driver inductions for all new starters
o Delivering Smith System Initial training to all LGV drivers and company car drivers
o Organising and booking of drivers CPC periodic training, delivering CPC modules and generating revenue where applicable
o Supporting tachograph infringements, reviewing and retraining drivers with regards to driver hours infringements
o Carrying out gatehouse & yard audits, responsible for performing 10% yard/gatehouse exit vehicle and driver checks
o Microlise training and admin, performing weekly conversations to action improvement areas
o Carrying out Delivery Safety Orders, prompting safety conversations and identifying training needs
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

o Minimum of 2 years Class 1 (C+E) driving experience is essential
o Operational & Transport experience with knowledge of Health and Safety within these environments
o Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
o Strong interpersonal, motivation and planning skills
o Able to work collaboratively with other DHL departments
o Excellent organisational skills
o Demonstrates a positive and respectful attitude towards others, behaving in an honest, open and trustworthy manner
o Live locally to Wellesbourne and be also able to cover training requirements at our St Athan (S Wales) location as and when required
