What you’ll be doing:
As Sales Manager in Basingstoke near Reading, you’ll take responsibility for the full reservations and event sales function at this busy 4* hotel. You’ll drive bedroom, meeting, and event revenue through both proactive selling and excellent client relationship management.
Working alongside the Central Events team, you’ll manage two Sales Executives and ensure each enquiry – from weddings to corporate functions – is handled professionally, efficiently and with a personal touch.
The hotel is within easy commuting distance of Reading, Newbury, Winchester, and Farnborough.
Key responsibilities include:
7. Overseeing all group & event sales and bedroom bookings
8. Maximising revenue opportunities from new and repeat business
9. Coaching and developing the Sales Executive team
10. Monitoring performance against KPIs and targets
11. Building strong internal and external client relationships
What we’re looking for:
12. Previous experience in event sales, reservations or a sales executive role
13. Hospitality background preferred but not essential
14. Proven people management and leadership skills
15. Excellent communication and organisational abilities
16. Commercially aware and target driven
