PRACTICE NURSE (20-25 HOURS PER WEEK)

Tayview Medical Practice is a large, friendly, and forwardthinking GP practice providing services from two wellestablished surgeries based in Newport and Tayport, Fife. We are a training practice for undergraduate students and are affiliated with the University of Dundee and the University of St Andrews. Our main focus is delivering excellent patient care to our patient population.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experience Practice Nurse to join our friendly, forward thinking, team at Tayview Medical Practice. We are seeking an enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join us. We currently have a friendly, hard-working, nursing team which comprises of a and ANP, Senior Practice Nurse, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 Treatment Room Nurse and 2 Healthcare Assistants.
The Role
The successful candidate will provide highquality nursing care, with particular responsibility for:
1. Chronic disease management
2. Diabetes reviews and management
3. Longterm condition monitoring and patient education
4. Working collaboratively within the wider primary care multidisciplinary team
This post is for 2025 hours per week, worked across our two practice sites, with flexibility to be discussed at interview.
The Ideal Candidate
5. Registered Nurse with current NMC UK registration
6. Significant experience working as a Practice Nurse
7. Confident and competent in chronic disease management, particularly diabetes
8. Strong communication and organisational skills
9. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
10. Experience with EMIS and Vision is desirable but not essential
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and reliable person with effective communication skills, strong organisation skills and a team player who is keen to integrate and grow alongside our practice team whilst also being someone who enjoys working independently.
