We're looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Deputy Manager to support the General Manager in leading the team and driving the business forward.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the venue, ensuring smooth and efficient service at all times.
* Lead, motivate, and develop front-of-house staff, fostering a positive and professional team culture.
* Ensure high standards of customer service are consistently delivered in a fast-paced, busy environment.
* Oversee daily operations including floor management, bar service, stock control, and cash handling.
* Assist with recruitment, training, and performance management of team members.
* Take ownership of health & safety, licensing compliance, and food hygiene standards.
* Help drive sales through creative input on promotions, events, and service improvements.
* Step up in the absence of the General Manager, taking full responsibility for the venue.
Skills & Experience
* Previous management/supervisory experience in a busy hospitality venue (bar, restaurant, or late-night venue essential).
* Strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to inspire a team.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A hands-on approach — leading by example on the floor during peak times.
* Confidence in managing high-volume service and resolving issues quickly and professionally.
* Knowledge of stock control, rota planning, and P&L awareness is desirable.
