Based across Carrickore, Oakland’s, and Bluebell House, this role offers a truly meaningful opportunity to join a team delivering short breaks and intensive care using best-practice therapeutic approaches.
Your Day-to-Day
1. Provide daily care and supervision, supporting therapeutic interventions alongside experienced colleagues.
2. Maintain detailed care records and communicate regularly with families, educators, and other professionals.
3. Be a role model and build healthy relationships through household activities, outings, and community engagement.
4. Support personal care, cooking, clothing upkeep, and recreational planning.
5. Uphold safety standards and help with facility finances.
6. Participate in meetings, training, and development opportunities.
What You’ll Need
7. Age Requirement: Must be 21+
8. Qualifications & Experience (one of the following): NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 3 in Caring for Children/Young People (or equivalent) with 1 year’s care experience Level 2 qualification with 2 years’ experience 4 GCSEs (A–C including English) plus 3 years’ experience
9. Registration: Registered or eligible for immediate registration with NISCC (Social Care)
10. Flexibility: Willing and able to work across a full 24/7 rota including weekends
11. Transport: Full UK driving licence and access to a car (reasonable accommodation available for disabilities)
Experience working therapeutically with children or young people is a strong asset.
