Overview
A manufacturing company in Oxford is looking for a Stores Operative / Logistics Coordinator to work in their busy dispatch / stores team. This is a hands-on, proactive, and highly motivated role requiring good organisational and communication skills. The role is based in a small team within a fast-paced environment; some heavy lifting may be required, and a number of steps per day are expected. Previous forklift experience would be advantageous, and training can be provided.
Responsibilities
* Receive and inspect goods against delivery notes for accuracy and damages
* Notify relevant staff of shortages and any damaged goods received and await further instruction
* Put received stock away in relevant locations or assign overflow locations
* Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded
* Unload vehicles for goods being received
* Timely issuing and kitting of materials to production in line with production schedules
* Kitting to sub-assembly and dealing with queries at the hatch from other business units
* Conduct continuous stock audits through periodic cycle counting
* Be responsible for the security, control and movement of raw material stock
* Load/unload trucks and move stock using a forklift in despatch as required
Qualifications and Experience
* Computer literate with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation
* SAP knowledge is desirable
* Experience of stockroom and despatch procedures, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Additional Details
Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:30, 40 hours per week. Salary around £27k plus Health care & Pension. Due to the rural location, you need to have your own transport.
