Procurement Projects Manager - Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist

About Our Client

Our client is a well-established organisation with multiple clients in various sectors, mainly industrial/utilities. They are a large entity with a global footprint, working towards sustainable solutions in procurement and supply chain. They aim to maintain high standards of integrity and service, making them an employer of choice in their sector.

Job Description

You will manage key procurement projects across multiple sites, including sourcing and supplier relationship management.

1. Accountable for managing and leading a procurement team, driving performance to deliver tangible value.
2. Managing the tender process and evaluating major equipment service providers.
3. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure procurement deliverables meet cost, quality, and schedule requirements.
4. Develop and execute procurement strategies for projects.
5. Plan and implement procurement strategies to ensure optimal value.
6. Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and conduct supplier review meetings with stakeholders.
7. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements.
8. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain.
9. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
10. Manage supply chain risks and develop contingency plans.
11. Prepare and present reports on procurement and supply chain performance.
12. Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

* A strong track record in project management, including end-to-end procurement, contracts, and SRM.
* A degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* Good understanding of cost models, business models, NEC models, accounting practices, commercial audits, forecasting, valuations, and supplier costing models.
* Experience in developing and implementing NEC3 or NEC4 contracting models.
* Proactive approach to contract compliance, with the ability to monitor and correct non-compliance.
* Package management experience covering the entire supply chain lifecycle is advantageous.
* Strong negotiation and strategic planning skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
