Overview
The Director, PMO for Cytiva is to lead and support a team of project managers and program managers in the successful execution of new product development projects (including fast followers) and sustainment projects. This role is focused on ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting high-quality standards. The role will report into Senior Director, R&D & Portfolio management and work closely with leadership to support strategic planning, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to enable the successful launch and sustainment of products in Upstream portfolio.
This position is part of the Upstream & Fluid Management R&D&E organization and located in Harbourgate, Portsmouth or Marlborough or in Hoegaarden site and will be an onsite role. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What You Will Do
Day to Day
* Support PMs (NPD and sustaining) in project execution including issue resolution, challenge timelines, assumptions etc.
* Set out Standard work for PMs.
* Implement & facilitate Daily management of projects
* Capture metrics to support live PSP to capture trends within projects
* Project status, escalation & tracking.
* Attendance at SPGs & PPGs as required.
* Facilitate team development through mentoring and leadership. Developing team skills and identification of development opportunities aligned with individual D4G goals
* Works closely with Portfolio Management leader to ensure strategics plans are converted into aligned project & execution plans that are aligned with the organization's goals.
* Resource allocation across projects & portfolio for future programs
Execution Process Continual Improvements
* Creation and implementation of PMO Handbook.
* MS project implementation
* Improvements in project forecasting
* Development & implementation of new tools and ways of working to support PMO
* Project targets roadmap (higher targets for TG5)
* Incorporate key actions from applicable PSPs.
* NPD guidance for major & minor projects.
* Risk analysis (for complex projects) & risk budget.
Who You Are
* Minimum 2 years of people management experience, leading and developing associates, with track record of delivering on projects.
* Multiple years project/program management experience in a matrixed team environment, preferably in new product development (NPD) space.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred along with PMP or equivalent project management certification.
* Proven track record of successfully managing new product development projects.
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Familiarity with bioprocess manufacturing operations
