Head of Year – Teaching
We require, as soon as possible, a well‑motivated, committed and energetic Teaching Head of Year. Year leaders are passionately committed to tracking academic progress and tackling under‑achievement. The successful candidate will form excellent relationships with staff, students and parents, be caring and supportive, approachable and reliable, and model exemplary standards of professionalism and integrity to colleagues, tutors and tutees.
Key responsibilities include:
* Monitoring the work of Academic Mentors and motivating students to believe in our character values and future aspirations using the VESPA system.
* Analysing student progress data, early identification of under‑achievement and applying a range of strategies to address it.
* Consistently applying school procedures, policies, rewards and sanctions.
* Managing a combination of on‑call duties, reflection room and ISR as per rota.
