Underwriting Assistant

If so, we currently have a fantastic Underwriting Assistant opportunity, which will give you exposure to our exciting classes of business including Cargo, Fine Art & Specie, Construction, Renewable Energy, and Accident and Health!
A bit about the job:
In this role, you will support the underwriting process by administering accurate and timely logging of data onto relevant systems, prior to passing over to our data entry team. You will also help maintain all user-defined databases for our underwriting unit and assist in resolving transactional data management issues (cash allocations / debtors signings management) within SLAs. Additionally, you will support various month-end closing procedures as directed.
You will act as a point of contact for liaison with the third-party data processing team and administer document management processes to meet standards. As the Underwriting Assistant, you will anticipate the needs of, and provide underwriting support services to, the wider underwriting team in a timely manner.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Prior exposure to working in an insurance environment, such as entry-level claims, customer service, or underwriting roles.
* Outgoing personality and flexible attitude towards admin/data-entry tasks.
* Ability to use your initiative, combined with strong communication skills.
* Team player mentality.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong IT skills.
