Commercial Manager
Bristol (Hybrid working) £45,000 - £55,000 Full-time | Permanent
A growing technology-focused Engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to support high-value programmes and drive commercial success. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional with Defence, Aerospace or Public Sector experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full contract lifecycle: bids, negotiation, award, delivery, variations and close-out
* Support pricing models, cost build-ups and commercial proposals
* Oversee change control, claims, disputes and commercial risks
* Work with multiple contract types including Firm Price, Cost Plus / Cost Reimbursable and Framework Agreements
* Collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, finance, legal and commercial teams
Skills & Experience
* Experience in Defence, Aerospace or Public Sector
* Strong understanding of procurement, sourcing and contract management
* Knowledge of Procurement Act 2023, SSCR, DEFCONs and DEFSTANs
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities
* SC clearance desirable (or willingness to obtain)
* MCIPS and export control awareness (ITAR/EAR) advantageous but not essential
