A high profile, accessible and responsive leader with managerial responsibility for nursing service delivery and advice across a number of departments within a speciality. Working as Nursing lead for the triumvirate group management structure, demonstrating and developing collaborative working within and across the MDT.
The Matron will have responsibility for the Urgent Treatment Centres's within Emergency Medicine- including off site locations in the City of Coventry Health Centre (CUTC), Rugby Urgent Treatment Centre and the co-located Urgent Treatment Centre at UHCW. Able to make informed decisions within their own specialty and scope of professional practice, involving patients and public to ensure agreed standards, targets and objectives are met. The keys focus is on quality improvements in safety, effectiveness and patient experience. Corporate responsibilities including support for other colleagues and specialities and hospital bleep rota duties. Responsible for delivering the goals of the Matron’s Handbook taking a proactive as well as reactive stance on cleaning standards and infection control.
Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.
Responsibilities
* Lead nursing service delivery and advise across departments within a speciality; Nursing lead for the triumvirate group management structure; promote collaborative working across the MDT.
* Be responsible for the Urgent Treatment Centres within Emergency Medicine, including off-site locations in the City of Coventry Health Centre (CUTC), Rugby UTC and the co-located UTC at UHCW.
* Make informed decisions within their own specialty and scope of professional practice, involving patients and the public to ensure agreed standards, targets and objectives are met.
* Focus on quality improvements in safety, effectiveness and patient experience; undertake corporate responsibilities including support for other colleagues and specialities and hospital bleep rota duties.
* Deliver the goals of the Matron’s Handbook with a proactive as well as reactive stance on cleaning standards and infection control.
Requirements
* Experience in senior nursing leadership with ability to lead across MDTs.
* Immunisation/vaccination reporting as required by UK occupational health or GP provider.
