Our stunning new home, Statham Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built care facility situated in the picturesque village of Lymm in the heart of Cheshire. The home is registered to provide care to 66 residents with a variety of care needs, including residential and nursing care. It offers the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care, reflecting the New Care vision. We invest in the latest technology and provide a purposeful programme of daily activities and gentle exercise to enhance residents' experience, care, and wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, undergo a full induction, and receive ongoing training from our in-house trainers in conjunction with the New Care Academy. The home is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. We have maintained a no agency staff policy for over 5 years by employing a dedicated, permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care and foster trust with residents. Across New Care, all staff are paid at least the national minimum wage.
We are seeking to appoint kind, caring, and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team. You will deliver quality care to residents in line with agreed Care Plans and contribute to the efficient running of the home. We offer full-time contracts with an excellent hourly rate of £12.60. Shift times are 0745 – 2000, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
* To deliver “hands-on” care to residents in a person-centred way.
* Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.
* Model best practice when delivering care.
* Assist residents in all aspects of their physical, emotional, and spiritual care needs in line with care plans.
* Contribute to the daily records of residents.
* Support effective teamwork and undertake delegated tasks efficiently.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults under your responsibility or contact.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Experience as a Care Assistant in a care environment is preferable.
* Care Certificate or equivalent, or willingness to achieve within 12 months.
* Good knowledge of caring for older people.
* Understanding of the 6 principles of care and their application in residential/nursing settings.
* Ability to work well in a team.
* Self-motivated and confident.
