Our Alternative Provision (AP) in Barnoldswick, Lancashire, is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Outdoor Education Teacher to inspire and re-engage students through tailored outdoor learning experiences. We welcome applications from both qualified teachers and experienced outdoor instructors/youth workers. This unique role focuses on delivering personalised outdoor education programmes to students who benefit from a hands-on, alternative approach. You'll use the outdoors to build confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a love for learning, starting on 30th June 2025. Key Responsibilities: Planning and delivering bespoke 1:1 outdoor activities, adapting to individual student needs and interests. Using outdoor challenges to teach core skills, build positive relationships, and improve emotional regulation. Developing and implementing personalised learning plans (PLPs) focused on both practical skills and academic progress. Building strong, trusting relationships with students, many of whom have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or SEND.
