Multi‑Skilled Engineer - FMCG Manufacturer
Location: Weston Super‑Mare
Salary: £55,070 per annum (including shift premium)

* 3 shift pattern:
o Week 1 – Mon‑Fri 7 am‑3 pm
o Week 2 – Mon‑Fri 3 pm‑11 pm
o Week 3 – Mon‑Thu 11 pm‑7 am

My client is a world leader in the development of specialist high‑performance paper and packaging products and is extremely well established. This highly respected manufacturer is looking to expand its engineering capacity and is adding electrical knowledge to its current team. The group is a multi‑billion organisation with over 40,000 employees worldwide, offering a secure and respected global working environment.
The Role
* Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities to an agreed standard, ensuring safe working at all times.
* Ensure all site assets are maintained to a high standard, meet site requirements and remain reliable.
* Use SAP to capture all maintenance activities (training will be provided).
* Attain engineering standards across the site by providing functional support and expertise.
* Perform on relevant engineering KPIs.
* Ensure a robust and clearly communicated safe system of work is applied for all activities undertaken and are properly risk assessed.
* Ensure parts are booked out correctly to help control stock levels in stores.
* Work effectively as a team with both engineering and production staff.
* Be flexible with working hours, including shift cover and overtime.
* Communicate effectively.
* Possess fault‑finding experience with good diagnostic skills.
Key Skills
* Apprentice‑trained Engineer in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
* Experience of PLC systems and automated machinery.
* Understanding of PPM systems.
